The short version
Systems Illustrated collects the minimum we need to run a newsletter and deliver guides: your email address, given voluntarily. We use privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies. We never sell your data.
What we collect and why
- Email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter, download a gated guide, or join a course waitlist. Used to send you what you asked for, plus the weekly newsletter you opted into. Processed by Kit (kit.com), our email service provider; their processing is governed by their own privacy policy.
- Signup context — which guide or waitlist you signed up from (stored as a tag on your subscriber record) so we send you relevant material instead of everything.
- Aggregate analytics — we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that uses no cookies and stores no personal data or cross-site identifiers. We see page counts and referrers, not you.
Purchases
Paid products are sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They process payment details and billing information under their own terms and privacy policy; we receive your email and order details, never your card number.
What we do not do
- No selling or renting of personal data, to anyone, ever.
- No advertising trackers or cross-site cookies.
- No purchase of third-party email lists.
Email practices
Subscriptions are double opt-in. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, honored immediately. Unsubscribing removes you from all future sends.
Data retention and your rights
We keep your email while you remain subscribed. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by replying to any of our emails or contacting privacy@systemsillustrated.com. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days.

Video pages embed YouTube players in click-to-load, privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) — YouTube receives no data from you unless you press play.
